On September 12, 2023, Judge Ross (the presiding judge over the Credit Nation receivership) issued an order upholding Judge Duffey’s original order regarding treatment of certain polices sold by Credit Nation to “direct” investors. You can read Judge Ross’s order here, and the accompanying report of Magistrate Judge Bly, here. If the individual claimants who filed the challenges do not appeal, the order will become final, in which case the Receiver intends to move for prompt liquidation of the Receivership with a distribution of all remaining funds to the investors.
